TCU waited more than a decade to gain entry into the Big 12 Conference. Now that the Horned Frogs are a full-time member, they’ll have a chance to make an immediate impact — and maybe even win a conference title.

Tuesday morning, the Big 12 released its conference schedules. A few teams have yet to finalize their non-con slates, but we can safely assume they’ll fill out the open dates with directional schools from the FCS.

Over the next month, BTB will be releasing over/under win total projections for each conference. We’ll begin today with the Big 12, where TCU and Oklahoma carry the highest totals at 9 ½. Texas is listed at 8 ½, followed by West Virginia (8) and Kansas State (8).

Kansas, under new coach Charlie Weis, finds itself at the bottom of the barrel once again. The Jayhawks went 2-10 last year and are expected to make only modest improvement, with an over/under win total of 3 ½.

Here are BTB’s early win total projections. A new set of numbers will be released in late May.
